COMMITTEE MEMBERS
Ian Small - Chair.
I'm exceptionally proud to hold the position of Chair of the WGRA and I'm looking forward to supporting the local residents in shaping the community to be the best it can be, but not forgetting to have fun along the way. I've lived on Winyates Green since 2021.
I'm a keen traveller and I'm happiest on a city break with my wife, with a cocktail in one hand whilst soaking up the local culture.
John Reynolds - Facebook Admin & Events Coordinator.
I have lived in Winyates Green since 2006 and have seen a few changes to the area in the 18 years I have lived here. I decided to get involved with the WGRA to try to help support and understand the issues going on in our community.
I am out and about most days on my mobility scooter with my wife Hayley and our little Cockapoo. If you don't see me you will hear me as the little dog has a tendency to make a big noise!
If you do see me out and about and you have any questions please feel free to stop and have a chat.
Mark Hooks - Treasurer.
I've lived on Hollyberry Close for past 12 years with my wife and two daughters, aged 13 & 9, who are going through our local schools system.
I put myself forward for the committee as I believe that we have a great community. Winyates Green has a lovely diverse group of residents and community spirit and despite the challenges with the warehouses and housing estate disruptions (which we are trying to work with at the moment), there are loads of positives that benefit our area.
I feel enthusiastic that we have the opportunity to really get that community spirit ramped up, in coordinating activities we all want to enjoy and raise funds within; funds that we can put right back into making where we live an even better place for everyone.
Mark Wallace - Committee Member - Website & Technical.
Winyates Green is a lovely area and my wife and I feel lucky to have been living here since 1997, though we still haven't managed to sort our garden out!
I've had a wide variety of roles through my working life though I would have to say they were all 'technical' in one way or another - whether it was involving computers, engines, or cameras and audio equipment - so it's nice to be using those skills supporting the WGRA.
Pam Oldfield - Vice Chair.
I have lived in Winyates Green for over 40 years and have 2 children and 4 grandchildren who also live on the Green.
I was an HR Manager in a former life but am now ‘retired’.
I have been involved with the WGRA since it was formed and look forward to continue working alongside you all.
Sue Nicholls - Association Secretary.
Despite my poor keyboard skills I am Secretary for the WGRA!
I am an extremely proud grandma to a fabulous 6 year old boy, him being one of the main reasons for our move to Redditch and you may see me on the school run to Tenacres First School.
Supporting the WGRA has meant that I have met new friends and been able to get involved with the Christmas tree event, the Easter egg trail and more recently the Quiz Night. I hope to see you soon with more events being planned.
