Winyates Green Residents Association

ABOUT US...

Mark Crompton - WGRA Chair.

I joined the Association in 2018 as Vice Chair and became Chair in 2019.  My role within the WGRA as Chair, it is my responsibility to pull everything together with the help and support of the rest of the Committee.

I would like the WGRA, website and Facebook Page to alert people of our existence, remind people of our existence and also to encourage support wherever possible from Residents in our local community.

I have lived on the Green all my life, I do Land Search, finding development land for developers and have just started doing a small land development of my own.  My hobbies are my gardening and my Charities which I try to commit to as much as possible which are the Dogs Trust, World Wide Life Fund and I am also a Committee member of Mappleborough Green Church (The name of the Group of Churches which Mappleborough comes under is the Arden Marches Group of Churches).

WGRA Secretary - Situation Vacant.

John H. Crumpton - WGRA Treasurer.

I have been Treasurer since the WGRA was formed in 2018 and became Vice Chair after the 2019 AGM at the Chairman’s request. I hope the Residents Association will be a voice for the Residents and a way of bringing us closer together especially in times like thi".

I hope the Facebook Group and this website will allow the Committee to communicate with the Residents in a more professional way and for the Residents to communicate with the Committee and each other.

I am retired, having previously worked in the Accounts Department at Land Rover. I have been involved in doing Treasurer work for over 30 years generally with the Church. Currently, I am Sacristan at St Leonard's church, Beoley, and Chairman of our Stewardship Committee.  My wife and I volunteer for two hours a week at the Hospital Coffee Shop; we also go dancing and have lessons every week in normal times and we take our dog Archie for walks each day.  I am also interested in Photography and Gardening.

Facebook Admin - John Reynolds.

Len Quartly - WGRA Representative for the Redditch Gateway.

I have been with the Association for 18 months now and my role is to keep residents fully aware of issues which will affect Winyates Green and hopefully unite residents to take appropriate action.

I am Chairman of Bromsgrove & Redditch Athletic Club, competing in athletic fixtures and regularly running around Redditch. I am also Captain of the local Skittles Team in Swan Studley Skittles League.

Julian Prouse -  WGRA Committee member (Liaison, Reprographics and Distribution).

I have been a committee member from the start in 2018 and am also involved in lots of other community projects within Redditch, I volunteer at these projects five days a week so there are far too many to list on my profile here but further information can be found on the contacts page.

I hope that the Association and the WGRA social media groups (including this website)will enable all residents to be interested in the area, I say this because, unfortunately, I find that a lot of people are not interested in what is going on or what is happening in their area unless it directly affects them. I have heard people saying "They should do something about it" but this means the residents themselves getting involved in order for us to do anything or have any effect on decisions being made in the Green.
