HELLO to all visitors and welcome to the Winyates Green Residents Association (WGRA) Website, though I expect the title banner at the top of the page gave that away already...
We try to keep this site reasonably well updated but your best bet for getting the latest and most up to date news is the Facebook page which you can find by following the link below:
WGRA Facebook page
If you live in Winyates Green, or maybe provide care for family within the area, then please join the group. Please note that you will have to answer all the questions but they are not difficult and we look forward to welcoming you as part of the community.
Winyates Green Residents Association logo designed by competition winner Beany Oldfield (aged 10).
THE AIM of the Association is to help enhance the lives of all residents within Winyates Green, providing a friendly central - and positive - point for all the community to come together, enjoy shared events, discuss anything about the neighbourhood, and help ensure that the area is a happy and inclusive place to live.
Yes, we do address the 'annoyances' that may go on in the area - building developments, car parking, dog fouling etc - but we must not forget that this is also a lovely area in which to live still with plenty of green spaces and some great amenities available.
Community Events are a superb way of meeting neighbours and having a good time.
The Christmas Carol service has always been popular, as has the Easter Egg Hunt, with many more activities planned - such as Quiz Nights, Halloween events, and much more!
Watch this space - or if there is an event you'd like to organise please let us know.
In fact if you have any suggestions to put to the association then please email us using this link:
wgra.suggestions@gmail.com
If the above link doesn't want to work then simply use this address in your normal email and it should stillget to us okay.
It is hoped that all Winyates Green residents will want to be involved with the Association, even if just to find out what is going on in the area through the Facebook group or this website, and will maybe even attend the regular meetings which are held in the Community Centre on Furze Lane (see the map below).
THE NEXT OPEN MEETING date of the Association is to be arranged but there are many other events going on - just visit the EVENTS page.
